Main Purpose and Function
The City of Vancouver has committed to divert 90% of Vancouvers annual rainfall through green infrastructure initiatives. As part of the Greenest City Action Plan 2020, the newly-formed Green Infrastructure Team will develop policies, programs, design prototypes, pilot projects, community partnerships and an implementation plan to capture and treat, then detain, infiltrate and/or reuse rainwater.

As a member of this inter-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in using green infrastructure to benefit goals that span the organization, including sustainable transportation, social sustainability, community building, climate change and access to nature and natural process. We are looking for highly motivated, creative and innovative team players to join us in our effort to manage this valuable resource for our community and local ecosystems.

The Planning Assistant III will support the team with technical graphics, mapping, communications and engagement work.
