Students seeking summer employment with the City of Surrey must currently be full-time students (January - April 2017) and planning to return to full-time studies in the Fall of 2017.

The City of Surreys Park Operations is looking for a Community Services Assistant 1. The successful candidate will have a high energy, enthusiastic approach to their work and enjoy the chance to be part of a team that values leadership and organizational talents. An outgoing, fun and positive attitude, as well as a love for working with the public is a must as an engaging presence is required every day! This position does require some physical work and as you will be working outside you will be exposed to all types of weather conditions.

In this position, you will be involved with the implementation of park-based recreation activities and small park events at Bear Creek Park in Surrey. Regular duties will include daily park clean ups, event set up and program leadership. Your experience and passion for leading dynamic, educational and fun activities will play a key role in making Bear Creek Park a meaningful summer destination for the residents of Surrey. With strong team building skills and a sense of enthusiasm, you will encourage public participation and help to contribute to positive communities.
