Parks Maintenance Worker: Victoria Hanging Basket Program

(3 Temporary Positions)


Since 1937, the official beginning of summer is celebrated every June in the City of Victoria by the placement of over 1,600 flower baskets on lampposts. We are recruiting for three people to join the Parks team to water the hanging baskets every night during the summer. As a Parks Maintenance Worker you will operate a variety of parks related power equipment and vehicles and perform general labouring function in Parks Operations. Qualifications for the position include Grade 10, a current and valid Class 5 B.C. Drivers Licence, and 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work schedule:
1 temporary positionup to 3 months, 40 hours per week, ThursdayMonday 10:45pm7:15am.
1 temporary positionup to 3 months, 40 hours per week, SundayThursday 10:45pm7:15am.
1 temporary positionup to 3 months, 40 hours per week, TuesdaySaturday 10:45pm7:15am.
