Scope
The City of Surrey provides exciting opportunities and challenges in an active and energetic environment and has a unique opportunity for qualifiedSpecial Education Early Childhood Educators. These positions are best suited to creative, collaborative individuals who enjoy working with children of disabilities. The City of Surrey follows a responsive curriculum and is committed to ensuring that every child in our program has a positive and safe experience.

Responsibilities
The program activities are to encourage parent/caregiver involvement and be culturally reflective. You will take an active role in training sessions, attend group meetings, compile and maintain resources and informational material, as well as facilitate referrals for families and work closely with school personnel. Developing positive working relationships and fostering an atmosphere of trust whilst modeling and promoting best practice in early childhood development is an integral part of the role. These positions will involve working with parents and caregivers alongside their children in an inclusive, play based learning environment.
