Main Purpose and Function
The main purpose of this position is the data modeling and data integration work related to the design and delivery of analytic data visualizations for enterprise wide consumption. Using a variety of tools and technologies, both on-premise and cloud based, the role works as part of a Scrum team that is responsible for: (a) design and creation of enterprise consumable data connections for analytic purposes, (b) rapid development of data models to address a number of wide ranging enterprise analytic challenges, (c) design and build-out of an enterprise level analytic ecosystem architecture that supports both central data application creation as well as enabling self-service advanced business analytics and (d) supporting the design and adoption of enterprise data governance and data management. Technologies in use or may be used in the future include: SSIS, SSAS, Qlik, PowerBI, Excel, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP AOLAP, SQL Server and SQL DataWarehouse, ClearStory, R, Alation, Collibra, ESRI and Mulesoft. Enterprise Analytics is a program within Technology Services. Technology Services is responsible for the development and support of internally developed and 3rdparty applications on a wide range of platforms including desktop, network, client server, mobile, web, cloud and externally hosted environments involving various office productivity tools, programming languages, operating systems, database products, middleware and other technologies.

The position is capable of acting in a leadership capacity to the team through the entire SDLC as executed within a Scrum approach (preliminary investigation, user story development, business case and feasibility analysis, design, implementation, quality control, documentation, and post-implemenation review phases. This position provides ongoing application support and responsibilities may include performing changes to business application configuration and programs. This position has access to confidential information and makes recommendations for changes in methods, processes and procedures that may impact on financial and operational areas as well as staffing work loads, working conditions, changes in positions or staffing levels.
