If so, the City of Langford invites you to apply for the full-time Senior Construction Engineering Technologist / Professional Engineer position.

Reporting to the Manager of Engineering Construction, the Senior Engineering Technologist / Professional Engineer is part of the team that oversees engineering construction within the Municipality. The successful candidate is required to do a combination of office and field work pertaining to Municipal land development related construction and capital projects. The main focus of this position is to inspect new land development (subdivisions). This is a semi-professional position that requires technical knowledge of Civil Engineering that applies to municipal operations. This position is also responsible for one or more of the following construction related aspects of storm drain, street lighting/traffic and signals/traffic signage, sewer or legal matters as they relate to construction aspects.

The successful applicant must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (minimum 3 year program) or a Degree in Engineering from a recognized institute in North America or equivalent. Further, the successful applicant should have a minimum of five years experience in the Civil Engineering field and preferably two years experience in the municipal sector. Lastly, the successful applicant must have membership with ASTTBC as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) or membership with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC).

The salary range offered for this full-time position is $37.36$40.82 per hour, plus an excellent benefits plan and a modified 35 hour work week schedule. For further information on this position, please refer to the job posting on the Citys website.
