We are looking for a dynamic, analytical, organized and collaborative Business Services Manager to join our Planning & Development team to provide strategic and operational management to optimize business practices, processes and procedures and acts as a liaison between departments across the organization in support of process improvements and service transformation.

The Business Services Manager will report to the General Manager of Planning & Development and work as part of a five (5) member management team, with focused responsibility for identifying and operationalizing changes to enhance customer service to other City departments and external stakeholders including full cycle project management to successful conclusion of identified solutions. This position will be responsible for a variety of initiatives and duties including but not limited to:
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience in process improvement/service transformation situations with the responsibility for stewarding operational process improvement initiatives in a fiscally responsible and customer serviceoriented manner. In addition, our incumbent will possess exceptional customer service skills; an ability to communicate at a business level both verbally as well as in writing, to a variety of stakeholder audiences including Council; and the ability to exercise political and business acumen in building business relationships across the organization and with external stakeholder groups in the achievement of enhanced customer service delivery.

This above skills and experience are matched with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Project Management qualification; Masters of Business Administration, Public Administration or Urban Planning; and Certification in Lean Six Sigma. Knowledge of the AMANDA platform and local government experience would be assets..
