Youth Leader I* - Older Adults Program

1 - 3 Auxiliary Positions

Community Services is looking for Youth Leaders who can assist two existing groups at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre with the change of becoming a new combined club - Cedar Hill Social Club for Older Adults. Youth Leaders will create a welcoming environment, support activities such as carpet bowling, bingo, board games, socials, bridge and new programming ideas, and facilitate the inclusion of new members. Ideal candidates will have experience with older adults and leadership experience. Please note the position will not be working with youth; it will be working with Older Adults in a recreation setting.

Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months experience working with older adults in a recreational or instructional setting; Emergency First Aid and CPR-C; satisfactory police information check and a valid Class 4 Drivers Licence, as required.

Hours of work: Monday to Wednesday, 12:30 p.m.2:30 p.m. and Friday, 11:15 a.m.3:15 p.m. Hours may vary or be shared among other staff depending on activities. Youth Leaders may also be required to work weekends or evenings depending on events or new activities.
