Are you looking for a job leading high quality, safe and fun recreation programs for children and families? As an auxiliary Program Leader, you will meet once per week with a group of elementary students in their school to lead them in play-based recreational activities. Some of the programs may include: Floor Hockey, Badminton, Basketball, All-Sports, Cooking, Science, Crafts, Chess and Babysitters Basics. French speaking opportunities are also available. The role of the Assistant Program Leader is to assist more experienced leaders in recreation programs.

Applicants must have experience planning and leading activities for children, and must possess strong communication and excellent public relations skills. Our Program Leaders require completion of grade 12 and our Assistant Program Leaders require completion of grade 10. Are you passionate, enthusiastic, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to recreation? Do you have experience in coaching, camp counseling, leading Scouts or Guides, tutoring, teaching Sunday school or volunteering in recreation or childcare leadership environment? The hours of work for these opportunities are Monday to Friday 2:30 PM5:30 PM from September until June, with seasonal scheduling occurring three times during this time period

The starting wage for Assistant Program Leaders is $18.52 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (Pay Grade 8).

The starting wage for Program Leaders is $20.82 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (Pay Grade 11).
