Main Purpose & Function
The Street Activities Branch manages the public realm to inspire and empower people while balancing interests, testing ideas, building community capacity, enlivening streets and transforming public spaces. Streets are among the Citys greatest public space assets; we aim to use streets to create a vibrant, connected and beautiful public life.

Under the supervision of the Social Planner I in the Integrated Graffiti Management program, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating projects related to detouring graffiti vandalism and working with artists to implement public facing murals within the City of Vancouver. The successful applicant performs a variety of technical, supervision/guidance and administrative duties in the Street Activities Branch.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Must demonstrate a willingness to work with and support a diverse group of artists, partners and stakeholders with knowledge on graffiti subculture and abatement strategies. Completion of Grade 12, supplemented with some experience with respect to municipal engineering, program administration, art education or a related field and/or an equivalent combination of training/experience.
