The City of Coquitlam is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Executive Assistant to join the team of professionals supporting the Citys Mayor and Council.

The ideal candidate is a versatile professional, who is accustomed to working at the executive level, is sought to perform a full suite of secretarial and administrative support services for the Mayor and Council. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role in which your excellent organizational skills, creativity, diplomacy and good judgement will all come into play as you administer day-to-day and longer-term activities of this busy, high-profile service area.

In addition to conducting confidential and general correspondence, your involvement will extend to encompass working in partnership with diverse groups and individuals, both within the City and the community. You will be able exercise discretion with confidential information, demonstrate political acumen in the workplace, while building and maintaining strong working relationships. This position is also responsible for managing the Mayor and Councils calendars, travel arrangements, and fielding enquiries from residents to various city departments. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required and experience in CEDMS would be considered an asset. These attributes will be matched with post-secondary studies in administration and/or business and at least 3-5 years experience in a similar, senior capacity in the public or private sector.
