Main Purpose and Function
The Senior Green Infrastructure Engineer position will provide leadership and engineering expertise to an inter-disciplinary, inter-departmental team responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Citys Integrated Rainwater Management Plan and Green Infrastructure Strategy. The role will support the Citys efforts to be a leader in clean water, green buildings, access to nature in the urban environment, fostering a green economy and building a resilient city in the face of a changing climate.

The Senior Green Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Manager of Green Infrastructure Implementation. The position will be a central point of contact on more complex, challenging or contentious inquiries and/or engagement programs with the public, external partners and development applicants. The position will take on a leadership role within the Green Infrastructure team as the lead senior engineer for the team and as a back-up for the branch manager in administrative and branch management duties.
