Main Purpose and Function
As a member of the City Management Team, the Superintendent I is responsible for leading and managing the heavy equipment and trucking operators for the Streets, Traffic and Electrical Branch, as well as the equipment and vehicle fleet in excess of 1000 units, and an annual billing budget of over $6.2M (2017).

This position is an integral part of the planning and coordination of the City snow and ice control response, including initiating prioritized snow and ice clearing from the Citys street networks, and managing the regulatory maintenance and reactive repairs of over 150 snow and ice clearing equipment units.
