Manager of Payroll/Business Systems
Regular Full Time Position

The District of Saanich has an exciting and challenging full-time exempt position that will not only lead our Payroll Department but will also lead systems implementation and development for our Payroll/HRIS applications.

As a member of the Finance team, you will work with other stakeholders (in particular Human Resources and Information Technology) as the business application resource for the Payroll/HRIS system in areas such as:

Along with your bachelors degree in business, administration, finance or payroll, you will have a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in payroll production and leadership including experience managing a payroll/benefits team in a unionized environment. You should also have extensive experience in a modern complex payroll/HRIS system, including demonstrated ability to implement, develop and test new systems, functionality and upgrades. Preference will be given to applicants with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Human Capital Management/Payroll experience. Municipal experience would be an advantage, as would a Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) and/or Accounting designation. You will draw on your demonstrated leadership, communication, team and interpersonal skills to establish close and effective working relationships with Payroll staff, the Human Resources and Information Technology teams and a variety of stakeholders.
