Clerk III - Legislative Services (FIPPA/RIM)

The Legislative Services Division has an immediate opening for a permanent, full-time Clerk III to provide clerical work primarily regarding the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) request processing, FIPPA compliance related work, and corporate records and information management. This position will also assist, as may be necessary, with processes regarding various applications and property notification, and providing departmental administrative support. Reporting to the Manager of Legislative Services, this position will be responsible for:

The successful candidate will possess: completion of Grade 12 (or equivalent), supplemented by administrative, commercial courses plus related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience, and FIPPA training supported by knowledge of legislation, process and procedures applicable to FIPPA; the ability to perform detailed work accurately and efficiently; the ability to meet strict deadlines; the ability to meet and deal tactfully and effectively with the public; the ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with administrative officials and other employees; the ability to work well within a team; the ability to maintain complex records; and the ability to perform diversified tasks with minimal supervision.

Extensive experience and/or training in Microsoft Office is required and experience with web based communication tools is considered an asset.

The successful candidate is required to supply a criminal record check and a copy of their credentials.
