Working as part of a team, the Community Services Assistant 5 (CSA-5) will plan, implement, deliver, supervise and evaluate a wide range of programs, services, and events in the Diversity and Inclusion section.

The Community Services Assistant 5 works with partners to provide opportunities to be active, engaged and included in our recreational programs and services. You will assist in the development of program ideas and staff training, research and grant applications, as well as promotional materials for programs and events.

The successful applicant will possess strong planning and organizational skills and will be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. The applicant can work independently and in a team setting while demonstrating strong leadership abilities. This position will require general knowledge and understanding of demographics and methodologies of responding to diverse community needs. Essential skills include the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with volunteers, staff and community while demonstrating initiative, a positive attitude and creating an inclusive and welcoming environment. In addition, the successful applicant will have experience working with a variety of community groups, people of all ages with diverse backgrounds and cultures including newcomers to Canada and aboriginal community members.
